About the Course

The HeartCode® PALS course is a blended learning 2-step program that requires an online component and an in person skills practical. The online component of HeartCode® PALS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students PALS knowledge and skills in the comfort of their own home. The in person skills practical consists of meeting with one of our AHA instructors either in a class, or at your home or office in order to demonstrate proper knowledge of PALS skills.

Online Course Requirement:

Before attending the in-person session, you must complete the HeartCode® PALS online course through the AHA webiste using this link: AHA eLearning website. The online course costs $173 and is purchased separately.

How To Complete The Course

  1. Successfully complete the online portion
  2. Email certification to Sales@pulsestartnow.com
  3. Attend scheduled skills session

To complete the AHA PALS Skills Testing the student must demonstrate proficiency in providing PALS skills, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating AED use. Upon successful completion of skills testing, students will receive an American Heart Association PALS for Healthcare Providers certification card on the same day.

Can the training be conducted at our office?

Yes — on-site training is our specialty. We bring all manikins, AED trainers, and course materials directly to your Miami workplace, school, clinic, or gym. You provide a room with space to practice on the floor, and we handle the rest.

Yes. We teach American Heart Association courses, and students who successfully complete a course receive an official AHA certification eCard. AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS cards are accepted by hospitals, healthcare employers, and licensing boards nationwide.

Yes. We schedule training around your operations, including evenings and weekends, so you can certify your team without disrupting the workday. Let us know your preferred date when you request a quote and we’ll confirm availability.

We provide on-site training throughout Miami-Dade and the surrounding South Florida area, including Broward County. If you’re unsure whether your location is within our service area, contact us and we’ll confirm and include any travel details in your quote.

It depends on the course. A CPR & First Aid or AED session typically runs 2–3 hours. BLS, ACLS, and PALS can be completed faster using HeartCode blended learning, where students finish the online portion in advance and attend a short in-person skills session — often 30–45 minutes per student.
