If you already hold a current AHA certification and you’re comfortable in front of a group,becoming an AHA Instructor is one of the most rewarding steps you can take — whetheryou want a flexible side income, a way to certify your own team, or a full-time teaching path.

Align with a real AHA Training Center New instructors must be aligned with anauthorized AHA Training Center to teach and issue cards. Align with Pulsestart and you'reset up to run compliant classes from day one.
Issue official AHA eCards Once aligned and monitored, you can teach AHA courses andissue the same nationally recognized eCards accepted by hospitals, employers, andlicensing boards.

The 5-step path:
Be at least 18 years old and hold a current AHA Provider certification in the discipline you want to teach (for example, a current BLS Provider card to become a BLS Instructor). You’ll also need to be proficient and confident in that discipline’s skills.
Join our in-class instructor session ledby AHA Training Center Faculty. You’ll practice running a class, testing skills, andremediating students using official AHA materials.
We align you with our AHA TrainingCenter so you’re authorized to teach AHA courses and issue eCards.
Teach a course under the observation of ourTraining Center Faculty within 6 months
of your instructor training. Pass your monitoringand your AHA Instructor card is issued.

Become a certified:
AHA BLS Instructor and teach Basic Life Support to health care providers, plus Heartsaver CPR, AED, and First Aid to the general public.
Best for:
Nurses, EMTs, paramedics, medical assistants, and anyone ready to start teaching CPR and BLS.
Prerequisite:
Current AHA BLS Provider certification and completion of the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Online course before your hands-on session.
Includes:
Hands-on instructor session with Training Center Faculty, alignment with Pulsestart, and support through your monitored teaching session.
Become a certified:
AHA ACLS Instructor
and teach Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support to physicians, nurses, paramedics, and clinical teams.
Best for:
Experienced clinical providers who want to teach advanced resuscitation and airway, rhythm, and pharmacology management.
Prerequisite:
Current AHA ACLS Provider certification and completion of the AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Online course before your hands-on session.
Includes:
Hands-on instructor session with Training Center Faculty, alignment with Pulsestart, and support through your monitored teaching session.
Become a certified:
AHA PALS Instructor
and teach Pediatric Advanced Life Support to providers who care for infants and children in emergencies.
Best for:
ER, pediatric, and critical-care clinicians who want to teach pediatric resuscitation.
Prerequisite:
Current AHA PALS Provider certification and completion of the AHA PALS Instructor Essentials Online course before your hands-on session.
