About the Course

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First-Aid course is conducted entirely in person with one of our certified instructors. Perfect for teachers, gyms, coaches, childcare, elderly care, students, or anyone who needs an AHA Heartsaver First-Aid certification for work or school.

The Heartsaver First Aid curriculum provides individuals with the knowledge and skills required for basic First Aid.

Individuals will learn about the following topics in this course:

  • The fundamentals of First Aid
  • Medical Emergencies


To complete the AHA Heartsaver First-Aid course the student must demonstrate proficiency in providing First-Aid skills. Upon successful completion of skills testing, students will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First-Aid certification card on the same day.

It depends on the course. A CPR & First Aid or AED session typically runs 2–3 hours. BLS, ACLS, and PALS can be completed faster using HeartCode blended learning, where students finish the online portion in advance and attend a short in-person skills session — often 30–45 minutes per student.
