Every PulseStart class is taught by a working firefighter paramedic. Not a part-time instructor who took a course to get a teaching card — a medic who ran calls this week. That is the whole reason this company exists, and it is the one thing about us a competitor cannot copy by lowering a price.
PulseStart is an American Heart Association Training Site and an American Red Cross and ASHI Training Center, based at 3399 NW 72nd Ave, Suite 208-B, Miami, FL 33122. Classes are taught in English and Spanish.
The skills in an AHA course are the same wherever you take them. What changes is who is standing in front of the room when somebody asks the question the manual does not answer.
“What do I actually do until you get here?” is that question. It comes up in every class, and it is the one that matters most, because the gap between a collapse and an arriving rescue unit is exactly the window our students are being trained to cover. Our instructors answer it from the other end — they are the ones who arrive, and they know what they wish the bystander had done in the minutes before.
That shows up in practical ways: what a 911 dispatcher will ask you and why, where an AED usually is in a building like yours, how to keep compressions going while somebody unlocks a door for the engine company, and what a handoff to arriving medics should sound like.
