CPR Certification for Nursing Students in Miami

If your nursing program asks for “CPR certification” before clinicals, it almost always means the AHA BLS Provider card. PulseStart certifies nursing students in Miami for $100, in about 2 to 3 hours, entirely in person, with the AHA eCard issued the same day.

Same-day matters for students more than for anyone else, because clinical placement paperwork has a deadline and a card that arrives in two weeks is a card that arrives after you have been pulled from the rotation.

BLS Provider is almost certainly what your program means

There are two very different cards people call “CPR”:

They are not interchangeable, and a clinical coordinator will reject the wrong one. If your handbook says “CPR for Healthcare Providers,” “BLS,” or “Basic Life Support,” book BLS certification in Miami. If it is ambiguous, ask your program before you pay — it is a five-minute email that saves you a second class.

Watch the expiration date, not just the start date

Your card is valid two years. Most programs require it to stay current through the end of the rotation, not just on day one. Count forward from your issue date and check it against your last clinical day. If it expires mid-rotation, certify later or plan the renewal now.

If you are heading into your final year, ask whether ACLS is coming. Many programs add it, and it takes longer to arrange because the AHA online portion has to be completed first — see healthcare CPR certification in Miami.

Why online-only certificates get rejected

A legitimate AHA card requires a hands-on skills evaluation in front of a live instructor. Sites selling a “100% online BLS certification” for $19 are not issuing AHA cards, and nursing programs know it. Students who buy one usually end up paying twice.

What to bring

Photo ID and clothes you can kneel in. We supply manikins, AED trainers, bag-mask devices and AHA materials. Nothing to buy or complete beforehand — our BLS course has no online prerequisite.

Certifying a whole cohort

Clinical coordinators: we run BLS on campus for an entire cohort, anywhere in Miami-Dade and South Florida, with group pricing and same-day eCards for everyone who passes. See on-site group training or request a quote.
