AED Training in Miami: Heartsaver CPR AED Class

Hands placing AED training pads on a CPR manikin's chest

PulseStart teaches AED use in Miami through the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED class, which costs $90 and includes hands-on practice with AED trainers. You learn the skills to use any public AED alongside CPR, and you receive your eCard the same day you pass.

What you learn about AEDs

  • Recognizing cardiac arrest and calling 911
  • Turning on an AED, placing pads on adults and children, and following voice prompts
  • Staying clear during analysis and shock, then resuming compressions right away
  • Special situations such as water, medication patches and implanted devices
  • High-quality adult, child and infant CPR

Why AED and CPR are taught together

An AED can only help if CPR keeps blood moving before and after a shock. The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains both as one sequence so you act without hesitation.

Training only, not equipment

PulseStart is a training company. We do not sell, install or service AEDs. If your workplace already has an AED, we teach your people to use it. PulseStart is owned and taught by working firefighter/paramedics, so scenarios come from real South Florida emergency calls.

Is Heartsaver CPR AED the right course?

Heartsaver is for workplaces, teachers, coaches, parents and the public. Healthcare workers usually need BLS ($100), which also covers AED use; see BLS certification Miami and CPR vs BLS vs Heartsaver.
