Same-Day AHA eCard in Miami: What “Same Day” Actually Means

At PulseStart, same-day AHA eCard means: when you pass the hands-on skills evaluation in your in-person session, we issue your American Heart Association eCard the same day. It does not mean you can skip required online modules, skip skills testing, or walk out with a card without demonstrating proficiency.

The short answer

  • BLS Provider (all in person): Yes — AHA BLS eCard when you pass skills. Show up for class (~2–3 hours; $100).
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED: Yes — AHA Heartsaver card. In-person class and pass skills (~2–3 hours; $100).
  • ACLS (HeartCode): Yes — AHA ACLS eCard. Complete AHA HeartCode online ($173 separate), email completion to Sales@pulsestartnow.com, then pass skills ($110).
  • PALS (HeartCode): Yes — AHA PALS eCard. Same HeartCode pattern ($173 online + $110 skills).
  • ASHI CPR & AED: Same-day ASHI card (not AHA). In-person class ($80).

AHA provider cards described on these course pages are valid 2 years.

What you must complete before the card issues

For BLS and Heartsaver (all-in-person paths): There is no online module required for PulseStart’s all-in-person BLS or Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED. You attend class, practice, and demonstrate proficiency. When you pass, you receive the eCard the same day.

For ACLS and PALS (HeartCode blended): You must complete the AHA online HeartCode portion before skills. Buy the online course from AHA (currently listed at $173; ACLS online: shopcpr.heart.org HeartCode ACLS). Email completion to Sales@pulsestartnow.com, then attend skills ($110). The same-day eCard is issued after you pass that skills session — not after you finish the online module alone.

Skills duration note: The ACLS course page describes skills testing at approximately 2 hours. Shared FAQ copy elsewhere on the site also describes HeartCode skills sessions as often 30–45 minutes per student. Check the course page and schedule for the session you book.

Course-by-course: BLS, Heartsaver, ACLS, PALS

BLS — all in person

  • $100 · ~2–3 hours · entirely in person · no online module for this path
  • Same-day AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers eCard when you pass · valid 2 years
  • Page: BLS certification Miami · Renewal: BLS renewal Miami

Online-only “BLS” without hands-on skills is not a legitimate AHA BLS card — hospitals reject it.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED

  • $100 · ~2–3 hours · all in person
  • Same-day AHA Heartsaver card when you pass · valid 2 years
  • Not for healthcare professionals or nursing/medical students
  • Page: CPR/AED with First Aid

ACLS — HeartCode + skills

  • Online $173 (AHA, separate) + skills $110 at PulseStart
  • Email completion → skills → same-day AHA ACLS eCard when you pass · valid 2 years
  • Pages: ACLS · HeartCode skills

PALS — HeartCode + skills

  • Same pattern: online $173 separate + skills $110
  • Same-day AHA PALS eCard when you pass · valid 2 years
  • Pages: PALS · cost/time companion: PALS cost & time Miami when published

What same day is not

  • Not a guarantee that every calendar day has an open seat — check the schedule or call.
  • Not a waiver of HeartCode online for ACLS/PALS.
  • Not a card if you do not pass skills.
  • Not the same as an ASHI card — the $80 CPR & AED course issues an ASHI card the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really get my AHA eCard the same day in Miami?

Yes — when you pass skills in the in-person session at PulseStart, we issue the AHA eCard the same day for the AHA courses described on our course pages (BLS, Heartsaver, ACLS, PALS). You must complete any required online module first for HeartCode ACLS/PALS.

Does “same day” mean I can skip the online HeartCode for ACLS or PALS?

No. For ACLS and PALS, finish the AHA HeartCode online portion (currently $173, purchased separately), email completion to Sales@pulsestartnow.com, then attend skills ($110). The same-day eCard follows a passed skills session.

Is BLS same-day too?

Yes. PulseStart’s all-in-person BLS is $100, about 2–3 hours, with no online module for that path. Pass skills → same-day AHA BLS eCard. See BLS certification Miami.

What if I fail skills?

Same-day eCard is for students who pass. If you do not pass, ask the instructor or call about retake options for your course — do not assume a card is issued anyway.

How long is the ACLS or PALS skills session?

The ACLS page describes skills testing at about 2 hours. Other site FAQ copy describes HeartCode skills as often 30–45 minutes per student. Check the specific course page and the session you book on the schedule.

Is an ASHI same-day card the same as an AHA eCard?

No. The $80 CPR & AED course issues a same-day ASHI card. If your employer or school requires AHA, book the AHA course.

How long is the AHA eCard valid?

AHA provider cards on these PulseStart course pages are listed as valid 2 years.

Can my team get same-day cards on-site?

Yes — when the group completes and passes skills in an on-site session. Request a quote via corporate training or contact.
