$100. One price, covering instruction, equipment and your AHA eCard — no separate card fee at the end, which is worth checking when you compare quotes.
Plan on 2 to 3 hours. Our BLS course is taught entirely in person, so there is nothing to complete online beforehand: no AHA e-learning module to buy, no certificate to track down before you are allowed in the room. That matters more than it sounds — the most common reason a nurse or medic misses a renewal deadline is not the class, it is the prerequisite they did not know they had to purchase separately.
A renewal is a skills check with instruction attached, and it is where you find out what changed in the AHA science since your last card. You will be tested on:
Anyone who has worked a code knows where renewals get sloppy: hands off the chest too long during rhythm checks and pad placement, and compression depth fading in minute three. That is what the instructor is watching for.
Bring: your current BLS card (a screenshot of the eCard is fine), photo ID, and clothes you can kneel in. We supply manikins, AED trainers, bag-mask devices and AHA materials.
Book the BLS Provider course and tell us at booking that your card has lapsed. The class, the price and the afternoon are the same.
What a lapse can change is your employer’s paperwork. Some compliance offices treat it as a break in certification, and some pull you off patient assignment until the new card posts. Flag it when you book so your roster entry is right the first time.
Your card is good for two years from the issue date. Your employer’s compliance system flags you on that date, not thirty days after it, and losing a shift is an expensive way to save an afternoon. Book before the month your card expires.
If you also carry ACLS or PALS, look at all three expiration dates together and pull them onto one cycle. One trip a year beats three.
If you own compliance for a unit, clinic, dialysis center, surgery center or home-health team, we come to you: on-site BLS renewal anywhere in Miami-Dade and South Florida, group pricing on request and same-day eCards. Most departments we work with run a quarterly cycle so new hires and expiring cards get handled in one visit. See on-site corporate CPR training in Miami.
How much does BLS renewal cost in Miami?
$100 at PulseStart, including instruction, equipment and your AHA eCard. No separate card fee.
How long does it take, and how soon do I get the card?
About 2 to 3 hours, entirely in person with no online module first. Students who pass skills testing receive an official AHA BLS Provider eCard the same day, valid two years.
My BLS card expired. Can I still renew?
Book the BLS Provider course and tell us at booking. Same class, same $100, same 2 to 3 hours. Check whether your employer wants the lapse documented.
Do you offer weekend or evening renewals?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Saturdays by appointment. Send your preferred dates when you book and we will confirm.
Is an online-only BLS renewal valid?
No. A legitimate AHA BLS card requires a hands-on skills evaluation with a live instructor. A fully online “BLS certification” is not an AHA card and will be rejected by hospital compliance.
Can you renew my whole unit at our facility?
Yes. We bring manikins and AED trainers anywhere in Miami-Dade and South Florida, with group pricing.
Do you renew ACLS and PALS too?
Yes — see ACLS renewal in Miami and PALS renewal in Miami. Both are HeartCode blended, so the timing and cost work differently from BLS.
